Hello☆
The cold days continue!!
Recently, I went to Lake Biwa (JR Otsu Station)~☆
Moreover, I live in Osaka, so even though it was only an hour's train ride, I stayed there for one night!!
Because it was my birthday!!
(Sorry! This blog isn't really about paper cutting.)

The reason I go to Lake Biwa is not only to relax, but also because I can relax alone while I draw. I didn't get to go much last year, so it's been about a year since I last went. (January is pretty cold!)
By the way, when I draw a picture (sketch of a paper cutting)
Firstly, I often write down what I'm thinking or feeling on paper, and then I start to explore deeper within myself, asking questions like why I thought that way, or what it means to feel that way.

Then, when I get the idea for a nice picture, I start designing it in pencil.
I also meditate when I draw.
This time I brought a notebook and pen with me.
*I recommend writing down your thoughts on paper when you feel stressed, as it is said to be a good way to purify your mind by writing down your painful feelings, anger, and sadness in a notebook.
There are times when You can't tell someone how You feel, or You can't put it into words.
It may take some time to calm down, but please take your time and try not to rush.

I usually walk about 10 minutes from JR Otsu Station to Otsu Port, where I watch the Michigan ships, observe people walking by, bring some snacks and coffee, sit back and write on a piece of paper. There are five or six chairs, so I can usually find a seat.
(This time I bought Pierre Marcolini donuts from Mister Donut!)
And the next morning, I saw the sunrise from my room!!
This time I stayed at a hotel in front of Lake Biwa.

On the second day, I also went to Omi Shrine.
This shrine is famous for Chihayafuru(anime) and Hyakunin Isshu(Japanese traditional card).

The energy was generally gentle and there were chairs available so I was able to relax before praying.

My trip to Lake Biwa went by in a flash!
Otsu isn't a particularly big city, but I highly recommend it for those who want to spend some time alone!
If you have the opportunity, please do so☆
